Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Mr Jeh Mahaluxmivala is a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow and the Ramsay Rivers Hospital, Hertfordshire. His own special interest is knee replacement, hip replacement and revision knee replacement surgery.

He completed his orthopaedic specialist training rotation in London at the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital, Stanmore. He has also completed visiting fellowships, including time in prestigious knee and hip replacement units in North America.

Mr Mahaluxmivala has spoken at a number of national and international conferences.
He has been an invited guest speaker at the combined British Orthopedic Association and Irish Orthopedic Association Annual Conference in techniques on how to perform knee replacements.

Mr Mahaluxmivala is keenly involved in training surgeons to perform joint replacement surgery and has been awarded Trainer of the Year from the Royal London Hospital Rotation.

He is the co-founder and co-director of the Royal College of Surgeons of England FRCS (Orth) Course (Now the Mahaluxmivala-Sherman FRCS Orth Viva Revision Course)

He is also an invited guest lecturer and faculty member at the Cambridge FRCS (Orth) Course and the Harlow Knee Replacement Course and has previously been an invited guest lecturer and faculty member at the Tibia Master Class at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the University of Warwick FRCS (Orth) Course.

Mr Mahaluxmivala has published peer reviewed scientific papers and has been an invited chapter author for the prestigious Oxford Textbook of Surgery.

Mr Mahaluxmivala is also on the Editorial board for the Journal of Surgical Simulation.

He has been a contributing member of the FRCS Mentor group since its inception and is also actively involved in other online teaching and webinars with a combined live audience of over 2500 surgeons to date.

Mr Mahaluxmivala also has a special interest in patient education and is a surgeon designer for animations for hip and knee replacement surgery. This was especially done to educate patients and help them in understanding their forthcoming surgery. This innovation was shortlisted for the NHS Innovation awards.
